Missiles were firing everywhere, the raging fire engulfed the city, people were screaming, gunfires and explosions were heard. Humanity is in the brink of extinction. The fact that this isn't the invasion of extraterrestrial beings or an inevitable natural disaster saddens me. It is the genocide of human beings by their own species. Missiles destroyed most of the city while the streets were filled with dead bodies. People just fought among themselves, ignoring their religion, race and skin colour. Though, people all around strive to fight for one same goal, Survival. I stared out of the window from a cracked shelter, located in the middle of the forest not far away from the city. The shelter was an abandoned home. It looked rather spacious from the outside. I am glad that it has enough space for the group of us to live in. While staring at the star-filled sky, I sighed in my heart
"Rigel, it's our turn tonight", a rather rough but familiar voice came behind me. His name is Scager. Scager is rather a nickname than his real name. He prefers to be called that way. I slowly nodded by head and stood up and whispered "Hey Scag, don't you think the sky is beautiful?". Scager looked at me quietly with his deep dark eyes. I smiled. "Okay, let's get going. Pauu wouldn't be happy if we ran out of supplies." Scager passed me a Beretta 92Fs with 2 clips of 9mm Catridges. Despite the raging fire in the city, the night was surprisingly cold. I put on my jacket with the "Attack on Titan" Emblem. Scager looked at me and said "Those were good days huh." I smiled at him and opened the door, "lets go." We stepped out of the shelter and closed the door......
